May 2021 Be A Better Year For Us All

May 2021 Be A Better Year For Us All

To good friends. Wherever they may be. This is the face I still make when I go to sleep at night knowing who I am, what I stand for, having pride in my name and being a kind human being. The face I make going to sleep tonight knowing that tomorrow will be a new dawn, a new day and the beginning of a new year. The face I make wishing every day that I will remain a positive, good human being continuing to break free of negative users that are endlessly attracted to me without losing my faith in… Continue Reading

The Blame Game: Who Wins?

The Blame Game: Who Wins?

Last week, during my self-imposed quarantine, it became clear to me that I need to write about the pandemic we are facing in the world because it is unlike anything we have ever seen. Some people have decided to rewrite history to make themselves feel better by destroying bits and pieces of what actually happened in the past, but this is going to be an honest and true documentation of what is happening for me, if not for anyone else.  We may not be proud of things that have happened in the past, but they happened, and we need to… Continue Reading

Life Isn’t Always A Beach

1. Don’t judge someone’s life by what you see online – it is just a sizzle real 2. Don’t DM me if you want a response in near future or ever. Text me. 3. If you disappear or I cut you out- don’t try to come back. I don’t do reunion tours 4. If you reach out to me, begin with common courtesy aka manners like… “how are you” before asking me for something and if I have to tell you this the answer is always “no” !!!! 5. Think before you speak, act or react. Please. Actually just THINK… Continue Reading

My Date For The Phoenix Open 2018: Arnold Palmer Spiked #ApWellPlayed

My Date For The Phoenix Open 2018: Arnold Palmer Spiked

If you follow me on social media, which you should, you all know I went to the craziest golf tournament on the planet last week. I went three times (Greenskeepers, 16th hole skybox and 17th hole members) and my feet are still paying me back for wearing wedges. The Waste Management Phoenix Open is more about the fashion and the partying than it is about golf. I do love my golf but this is the first time after attending the par-tee in the past 5 years that I have understood anything about golf! I still have not learned my lesson… Continue Reading

New Year’s Resolutions Are Lame: Guydlines Are Forever

New Years Resolutions Are Lame: Guydlines Are Forever

As I sit here on the eve of 2018, I take time to review my past New Years Eve posts full “guydlines-isms” and it is not surprising that I agree with 100% of what I have had to say in the past. I told you many times I am smarter than I look. Right? It is time for us to ring in another year and I am very excited and optimistic for 2018 (it may just be because I am cleansing and a little light headed but whatever). First, I want to say thank you for giving me the opportunity… Continue Reading

Being a Blogger/Social Media Influencer: How to Work With Brands You Love #MediaChat Answers

Wow, my #Mediachat guest spot last week with Aaron Kilby was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed. The numbers were insane and we even had an entire class from University of Florida there. I was the guest of honor and did not even know it! They were hungry Gators! I won’t hold it against them even though I am a proud Wildcat For Life! BEARDOWN Since there were so many tweets (thank you) I thought I would share the questions and tweet-able answers I prepared for the chat just in case you missed them. There… Continue Reading

I’m Speaking At The University of Arizona: Social Media Influencer vs. Celebrity

YAY! I could not be happier to go back to school and guest lecture my favorite people in the world a.k.a. future University of Arizona #wildcatsforlife about social media! I will be covering the differences between a social media influencer and a celebrity! This is a topic I have written a lot about as of late and am looking forward to returning and meeting the students again. Here are my two favorite posts about the topic so far: Not All Influencers Are Created Equal: Celebrity vs. Influencer Part 1 Not All Influencers Are Created Equal: Celebrity vs. Influencer Part 2… Continue Reading

Not All Influencers Are Created Equal: Celebrity vs. Influencer Part 2

Not All Influencers Are Created Equal: Celebrity vs. Influencer Part 2

Continued from my previous post….. Did you read it? You should right here. The next interesting issue from my previous post is about social media influencers turning celebrity. Not like Brad Pitt celeb status but more like a Tila Tequila celeb status. Usually these C-D-listers, so called celebs are so entitled that they are here one day and gone the next. Out faster than onesies for the holidays. In this case, these people are usually managed or have agents like the guy I met a while back and is now feeling “holier than thou” trying to sign “digital” talent. He… Continue Reading
