37 Things I’m Not Obsessed With in 2022

I have always marched to the beat of my own drum and never felt the need to be like everyone else. I am an independent thinker, but lately feel like an alien while navigating the outside world and scrolling through social media. The pandemic lockdown was rough, and people had issues before, but Covid exacerbated them. I feel like I can’t relate to people on any level. When did some of this behavior become the norm?   I have so many questions and observations (and can’t wrap my head around a lot of things), so I am just going to… Continue Reading

I Am Most Thankful For…..REMIX Thanksgiving 2018

Happy Thanksgiving! This post is a classic remix from when I first started this blog in 2012! It gave me a LOL! Feel free to add to it in the comments. I am THANKFUL for: Being raised by the 2 most amazing people who have been supportive through all my 9 lives and taught me never to be scared of my own shadow. Being blessed to have had a sister that I shared everything with and knowing that she is watching over me every day. Having the strength to kick ass literally and figuratively. Puppies. All of them, especially Teddy… Continue Reading

Retail Therapy Is Causing Me To Need Therapy

Retail Therapy Is Causing Me To Need Therapy

Remember the days when you could walk into a store and shop for things that were actually in the store? You didn’t have to ask for a size and have the retail associate tell you to order it online. If I wanted to sit at home and buy these ugly styles from the comfort of my own home, I would. I came to this store to see and try on these drapes, I mean, clothes. I want to see them, feel them and try them on so that I could decide if it looks like I am wearing my grandmother’s… Continue Reading

Look Both Ways Before Taking Selfies In Bathrooms

Look Both Ways Before Taking Selfies In Bathrooms:

Last week I attended a holiday party and a girl stopped me as I was washing my hands after using the facilities. She asked if I could take a photo of her in the bathroom. We were at the W Hotel in Scottsdale with a plethora of places to capture her impromptu photo shoot in her dress or shirt (wasn’t quite sure which one) but sure the bathroom works. Why not? So, I took more than a few pictures of her like a seasoned blogger does, holding the phone above my eyes with the mandatory downward angle ensuring maximum flattering… Continue Reading

Fashion: No Mo Boho

Fashion: No Mo' Boho

Attention Fashion Designers: I am over the “Coachella – inspired” BoHo BS look! 1. Coachella did begin as a concert or a place to hear GOOD music? Correct? Not as a fashion statement. 2. Boho is a no go on most. Word to most – you look like a couch. 3. I left my heart in SF a while ago but pretty sure it wasn’t the 60s. Please! I am so over this look and it is completely contradictory to my ROCKER music taste too btw. So, bring back glamour! I am not sure I would wear my derby day… Continue Reading

Just In Time For March Madness: Melany Berger On Cats In The Corner Office

Just In Time For March Madness: Melany Berger On Cats In The Corner Office

It is my favorite time of year! The weather is amazing (maybe a little toastier than usual in Arizona reaching 95 and 96 degrees the past few days), Spring Training Baseball in the Valley of the Sun (Go Giants) and March Madness College Basketball all over the country. Plus, I just returned from watching my University of Arizona Wildcats win the PAC 12 tournament in Las Vegas and we are already well into the March Madness tournament playing in the Sweet Sixteen tomorrow. Woohoo! Go CATS! BEARDOWN. March 1 is the day that I was interviewed by the Arizona Alumni… Continue Reading

George Michael And Prince Tribute On The Grammy Awards®

Prince and George Michael Grammys

I just received a press release about the Grammy Awards and thought I would pass along the information entitled: “TRIBUTES SET FOR MUSIC ICONS GEORGE MICHAEL AND PRINCE ON THE 59TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS® “. As Metallica sings, this is “Sad But True” with so many music legends lost this past year. This tribute sounds like something not to miss honoring some of my favorite musical icons and it will truly be unforgettable. I am listening to Prince and George Michael as I write this blog post. Legends lost but I am so happy I saw both of these performers… Continue Reading

My Resolutions: Guyd For 2017

Take time to stop and smell the roses.

This year I am going to try a few new things. I am going to stick with these promises to myself because that is what resolutions are – aren’t they? I better or I am going to be really upset with myself. Plus, I will have no one to blame but me. 1. Make appointments in my calendar for “ME” time. Seriously. I have two “meetings” a week labeled in my calendar as “Zumba” and at least one titled “Golf Lesson”. I work hard and these “meetings” help with my sanity. The only way I can consistently attend them is… Continue Reading

What Would You Like To Print In 3D?

A few weeks ago I attended the University of Arizona Wildcat Spirit Expo in Phoenix to celebrate the over 100 donors helping the Arizona NOW campaign reach it’s fundraising goals. It was an awesome event with alumni and future Wildcats. Congratulations to the University of Arizona! That is fantastic and thank you for the coolest 3D pic of yours truly! Check it out. Advancements in technology are amazing! Aren’t they? What would you like to print in 3D if you… Continue Reading
