Happy pre-Valentines Day (another- Don’t dress like a slut day). If you heard my interview on The Modern Dater, then you know I don’t love this holiday. It is not because I am single and bitter because when I had a hot boyfriend – I hated the holiday. You can ask him? He is probably still sitting in the same chair, with the same shocked looked on his face when I left him at a five star restaurant some years back. People – we do not need Hallmark to tell each other when we should be nice. It should happen 365 days of the year (unless you are the ex referred to above who doesn’t deserve niceties). My cupid needs better aim. He keeps stabbing all the assholes for me. Someone take my little chubby cherub to the shooting range, please!

I do however miss those little hand written Charlie Brown Valentines Day notes we would get in class when I was even shorter than I am now. There is something about a present made just for you and no one else…..exclusives and one of a kind!
I always say that I don’t want to see myself walking up and down the street.

As a blogger, I have been swamped with press releases about Valentines Day products, relationship gurus, phone apps, kosher lubricant, vibrators, jewelry, socks and even something linking to Justin Bieber and some Indian Fortune reader to the holiday. Seriously? But, you know I spend countless hours replying to these emails to pick out the best things for my fans and I know I did it again this time!

Blogging about MY favorite things has turned out to be a very good choice for me and for YOU. Since Melanysguydlines inception, I have learned many lessons and met some truly amazing people. One of the most talented, hard working and fun women I have met is Claire Jane from ICJUK. If you have been reading for a while, you remember my Vegas giveaway including booty from her? Most recently ICJUK.com moved into her very own fabulous Head Quarters in Las Vegas where she has a showroom, studio & the ICJUK lounge. I plan to be sipping some drinks with Claire Jane when I go back to Vegas in March for the Pac 12 Tournament. The HQ lounge is reserved for VIP’s and now you can make an appointment to set up your own personal shopping experience with Claire Jane and see her complete line in person. She doesn’t design by season but is constantly adding to her collection. Best part is that you can always contact Claire Jane for any custom work.
