So, as you all know my Arizona Wildcats lost (got robbed by terrible officiating) in the Sweet Sixteen last week. But, just attending such sporting events always makes for good people watching (bashing). I need to send a special shout out to the couple in front of me (who probably paid $1000 a ticket). The woman was more interested in reading the Wall Street Journal by holding the paper directly above her head to read it (holding it straight in front of her eyes was just not good enough). I can tell her exactly what she was reading and she is lucky that I didn’t swipe that paper out of her hands and yell, “Bear Down” in her face. Thanks for obstructing my view. Her husband was equally as annoying with his nose attached Obama’s health care proposal (It sucks – that is all you need to know guy). I am sure this was way more interesting than watching Ohio STEAL the game from Arizona. Why go to the game? Of course they were Ohio fans. Figures.
The highlight of the game was getting a photo with Lute Olson (former Rock star Arizona coach). My friend was so intent on getting the shot with him that she pushed aside Billy Ray Cyrus onto his “Achy Breaky Ass” and on top of the seats in the row below. Doesn’t matter because I got this shot!
Nobody really knows who Billy Ray is anymore especially since Miley decided to chop of her hair and double as Eminem. By the way, Billy Ray, black leather jackets are not proper attire for college basketball tournaments unless you are screaming, “please recognize me” and no one does.
But, I do have the tendency to run into people no matter where I am and Staples center in Los Angeles was no different. As I was entering the LA Live Complex I hear someone yell, “Melanysguydlines” and see my friend from high school (will not mention any names as I was sworn to secrecy protecting the anonymity of the fellas who read my site). At least I know, they are all reading and again I thank you! It feels great that so many of you are enjoying Melanysguydlines.com and I trust you are taking notes. But for my frienemies, I did not stop to give you a hug at the game because I was not in a rush but because we don’t like each other (lets be honest).
It is only fitting that I take this time and clarify what had been a little questionable on Melanysguydlines. Dixon Richard is not who he says he is. The reason I know this, is because after the terrible loss Dixon and I decided to go to the ESPN Zone for drinks (bar is way too hot and they need AC). I was buying him shots, sweating off my makeup (and crying in my vodka soda) when the real story came out.
Previously, he was a little scared to write from his honest prospective and did not want his friends making fun of him for writing for Melanysguydlines.com (especially since he is not a Pac 12, SF Giants or SF49er fan). After, seeing that people really enjoy the site, he has decided to reveal the “real” him and follow my lead. Be true to your own opinions and don’t sugar coat. I am happy to tell you that his real name is Matt Bailey and he is the newest official member of Melanysguydlines.com. We welcome all opinions here and I have enough to say for 10 girls. It is about time I get a man with the same convictions and passion for what he believes in to write honest and true stories for the site.
I knew the last basketball piece could not have been written by a fashion designer – he was way too knowledgeable about basketball and really what guy writes about makeup? Drop the sequins and glitter fluff and leave that fruffy shit for other sites. I want what you really think. Don’t write what you think people want to hear, write what you believe unless I completely despise the topic (like the Foo Fighters and how they should not be considered a good rock band). I can’t wait until we start talking about music.
Bring it on Matt! Healthy arguing is good for the soul (but I will show you the right side one of these days). Looking forward to someone giving it back to me. Are you the man for the challenge? Mr. Guydlines? All I ask, be honest, truthful and snarky. Go!
Melanysguydlines #40 -My music. Tesla, Godsmack, Shinedown, and Metallica are great. Don’t test me here. Friendly warning.
**Stay snarky my friends!**
