Happy Friday the 13th. CHEERS! I bet you didn’t know that today is not just Fri-yay the 13th but something even cooler! If doughnuts can have a holiday so can cocktails.
While we never need much of a reason to mix up a post-work-week cocktail, if you’re looking for an excuse to get creative, today, May 13th is World Cocktail Day! Double Fri- yay.
My favorite color is grey goose!
My go to drink is:
Grey Goose Soda with Lime
Grey Goose Soda with a splash of lime in a short glass (I’m short and I love short glasses too).
Bonus: Lighter on calories and guilt than most alcoholic refreshments.
…….but it is summer and Prosecco is so refreshing especially in the Arizona desert heat.
Peachy Keen Cocktail
Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore
3 fresh peaches, pitted and halved
? fresh ginger, chopped
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
3 cups crushed ice
*Place peaches, sugar, lime juice, ginger and Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore in blender, blend at medium speed until smooth. Add ice to the blender and process.
Faulty Lemonade – Can I rename this to Snarky Lemonade?
Sparkling Ice Lemonade
2 fl. Oz. Vodka
Muddled Basil leaves
*Shake and pour over ice into Highball glass. Top with Sparkling Ice Lemonade. Garnish with Basil leaf.
Sounds easy enough? It is 5:00PM somewhere!
