Mel’s Hits & Misses Valentines Day 2014-PART 2

I love accessories more than anyone. This is an honest AND fair statement! I have been known as the girl with “long blonde hair, big brown eyes, long nails and lots of jewelry” ever since I can remember (Melanie Felony time). I would have more things hanging from me than Mr. XMAS tree if I could work it fabulously. Too bad I haven’t met Mr. Right to slide a sparkler on my ring finger. Come on cupid – how is the shooting practice going? Anyway, if it doesn’t glitter, sparkle, have studs or catch your eye – I am not interested. I also love my products and would proudly wear a “Product whore” badge if it existed. Living in Beverly Hills has introduced me to many products and treatments and I love being able to test them all out (as long as it doesn’t break the bank or turn me into a smurf).

Last week, the Accessories Council contacted me with an offer to review some hot products of the year. Who are they?

“The Accessories Council is a not-for-profit, national trade organization established in 1994. Our mission is to stimulate consumer awareness and demand for fashion accessory products. We serve the industry globally which generates over $30 billion dollars annually in the United States alone…”

Obviously, I am a logical choice for them since I know A LOT about accessories.

Check out this box I got in the mail. By far, the nicest and most beautiful items were in this gift bag!

I love everything in here but need to give you a top list! SO – here it goes.

Hits –

ITS MINE -get your own!

ITS MINE -get your own!

1. Caravelle Watch: Men’s Chronograph Collection- MY FAVORITE PIECE!
After I posted a pic of this watch, I was asked by at least 20 people if they could have it. My answer is no –it is MINE! Love this. I need a silver watch and the Caravelle watch is awesome. I am not sure why I didn’t know this company prior to the gift bag but I am a HUGE fan. It is not just for the man in your life (well, it wouldn’t fit Teddy Brewski and he is more of a gold dog) but for anyone! This is a great gift for you or your lovely lady! Get it at Kohls.com. There are so many choices so if you can’t decide and get two – you can always send me the other one for tipping you off to this amazing watch company.

Purity Vodka!

2.  Purity Vodka : Purity Ultra-Premium Vodka-well duh, you know how much I love my Vodka.
Purity Vodka is the most awarded ultra-premium vodka in the world and the first vodka brand to score a perfect 100 points.
This vodka is smoothy smooth! The only problem was that I had to wait until 5PM to try it because the gift box came at 11AM. But, who is judging?

Not me! But, it was worth the wait. Yum and the bottle is gorgeous so I placed it on my bar. (Don’t tell anyone that I filled it back up with water to display because it was that good and my friends and I drank it all!)
I’ll be makings my drinks with Purity from now on. Go and get it – and order me one with soda, lime and in a short glass, please.

3. Steve Madden Small PVC Studded Crossbody – Already worn this twice and I never wear the same things twice!
I am so grateful for this bag for a few reasons. It is rock n’ roll and has studs. It was also the perfect size for everything I needed while at the Phoenix Open. You can’t go wrong with it. Day to night and it has a zipper. I fit a large wallet and sunglasses in it.

There it is! Saved my life for that event!

4. BCBGeneration Go On Say It! Loop– A scarf that takes the confusion out of wrapping and I get confused sometimes because I am blonde (naturally).
I always lose my scarves and last Thursday had to bury one after a date on Thursday night. No, it is not because the guy was horrible but because when I arrived and tried to take it off, my necklace got caught. So, I did what any rational person does on a first date – ripped it. But, the accessories council provided me with a way cuter scarf from BCBGeneration and I was not too sad to see the other go.

I like all three but the BCBG one is on the right.

They sent me all three but the BCBG loop is the one on the right!

5. Boy Meets Girl  X Roman Luxe Collection-sadly I had to leave before getting these jewels but they look amazing and can’t wait to wear mine! It is gold and black – so HELLO -ROCKSTAR!

Love!

Love!

6. I-Lipo – A body treatment to compliment dreaded diet and workouts to shed unwanted pounds.
Living in Beverly Hills, I see a lot of products and services promising youth and weight loss. A few weeks ago, I got an email about a treatment called I-Lipo which helps people shed weight and offering me a trial. After reading that it does NOT hurt and results could be seen immediately– I just had to try it. It was also featured on The Doctors so that made me more comfortable with idea (not sure why if it is seen on TV it helps –but it did.)

There is Dr. Perlman on The Doctors and the lady is doing the I-lipo while not ruining her hair.

Dr. Perlman on The Doctors and the woman is doing I-lipo -while not ruining her hair.

Not quite sure about all of the jargon but it makes sense that a laser could virtually melt fat. The reason I decided to try it is I would like to get into my little white, bikini bottoms and won’t wear them it if I should not be wearing them (we all have seen that girl or remember my Miss Piggy post?) I have stubborn pockets of fat –don’t you? Lying down sounds much more enjoyable than going to the gym and it doesn’t mess up my hair. I may have dimply buns and you may have more rolls than the local bakery but I-Lipo promises to rid people of whatever baked good they have attached to their body.

Thanks to Angie at 5WPR – I was able to make an appointment with Dr. Perlman in Beverly Hills who came highly referred. I was told to work out prior to the appointment and wear comfy clothes, so I did what no one does in LA –WALK to the appointment. The office was gorgeous and Dr. Perlman explained the treatment and answered ALL of my questions. He didn’t promise I would lose everything I wanted to in one treatment but did explain the lasers break down the fat beneath the skin to rid the body of the unwanted mass.

After lying down on the table I went through a series of laser treatments on my tummy. The first part felt like heating pads, second part felt like a little, warm massager over my tummy and the last part was a laser that was more focused and warmer on my stomach than the first two. Dr. Perlman told me to exercise following I-Lipo. So, I did what any woman would do in Beverly Hills – go shopping and try on clothes! Trust me- it’s a workout people.

I did see a little difference in my jeans the next day and would go back to try another round of treatments. It was painless and the promise of more weight loss would make anyone want to try again! I will do it again and promise to keep you updated once I get into those little white bikini bottoms. Better yet – when I do, you will see the first pics!

MISSESS-
Well, there were A LOT of them in my inbox for Valentines Day so lets just focus on the positives today! Sound good? Happy Vday and hope you get some of these amazing accessories to wear on your dates. Also, eat all the chocolate you want – you can do I-Lipo tomorrow! MWAH!

Happy Valentines Day.

Kissezz
