In Defense of Dick Pics: A Guy’s Perspective

The world of online dating is a tricky one. And if the Manti Te'o story and other "Catfishing" tales have taught us anything, it's that you can't trust everything on the internet. Who's to say who (or what) is on the other end of that phone or computer. This is why I send girls dick pics.

Sure, you can get to know a lot about me from emails, chats and texts. And maybe some dating website says we're a good match because of some personality test we both took. But, at the end of the day, we both know that if the sex isn't good, then we're not going to be compatible, so you need to know what I'm packing.

It's really about openness and honesty. I get that there's a three-date rule before we're going to knock boots, but I don't want there to be any surprises when we get down to it (I mean, it'd be a good surprise, but a surprise nonetheless).

And look, I get that some of you are "offended" by such a picture, but seriously, grow up. Are you going to tell me you've never seen this kind of thing before? For years women have said "size doesn't matter," but we all know that's a goddamn lie. So, now you know what I'm working with, and if you want to cut and run, have at it.

But, at the end of the day, the real reason I'm sending you a picture of my abs, or a picture of my dick, is the same reason I'm sending you a picture of my new convertible or my newly furnished living room – I think you'll be impressed. You can say all you want that you don't care about that stuff, but you also said I had to be 5'10" or taller and earn more than $100,000 a year to send you a message on Match.com. So, take this picture for what it is: Me trying to be as open with you as possible, showing you the entire "package."

Plus, I'm hoping you'll send me a pic of your tits afterward.

So… it took the Manti Te’o story and other “Catfishing” tales in order to believe that, in 2013, one shouldn’t believe everything read on the internet. Wow.

    Scholar.

Seriously dude. You wouldn’t run up to a girl you had been on one date with and flash her – not without getting arrested – and a dick pick is the same thing. You, forcing your nasty bits on some unsuspecting girl who liked you up until then and now will be uncomfortable and worried about how far you will go in forcing yourself on her. After all, you forced her to view you naked, so where else will you push the envelope without even finding out if she wants it?

For me, one dick pick that I did not ask for and chances of me sleeping with him go to zero. Beyond zero, because I’ll tell all my friends what a creepo perv you are and then they won’t give you the time of day. Sure, some girls might like a pic, maybe I even would if I liked the guy — but *ask* them first if they are interested. The key here is to not *force* yourself onto her. That’s what the big deal is.

TL;DR: If I didn’t state specifically that I wanted to see your dick, even if I liked you before you sent a dick pic, sex is now out of the question for good and you’re blacklisted.
